| Awards for Excellence Barts and The London NHS Trust
Jonathon Asbridge collecting the award on behalf of Barts & London NHS Trust said: “It was wonderful news, we are thirilled and delighted. It is such an encouragement. It’s really just the begining of the range of services to all.”
Barts and The London NHS Trust has taken steps to meet the specific needs of its Muslim patients. These include building prayer facilities in the Royal Free Hospital in Whitechapel, and organising a dedicated multi-faith chaplaincy team. The Trust has also appointed two imam’s assistants, one male and one female.
