| Awards for Excellence Maythem Ridha
Maythem Ridha receiving the award said: “I felt honoured by the award. It was a privilege to be amongst such dedicated people whose work I had admired for so many years.”
Maythem Ridha is an award-winning filmmaker from west London. He has launched ten satellite channels broadcasting to the Middle East. He was also responsible for setting up the Promotions Department at the Middle East Broadcasting Company. His feature film, Voices of Silence, was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 1999. Ridha is currently working on two independent British films exploring ethnicity, migration and bridge-building between two cultures.
