Prince Hassan and Princess Sarwath of Jordan to address London conference
In their first public appearance outside Jordan since the death of King Hussain, Prince Hassan and his wife Princess Sarwath will be speaking at a three-day London conference organised by the British Council, reports this month's Muslim News.
The Prince will be speaking on his favourite topic 'Interfaith Coexistence in the Middle East' at the Mutualities: Britain and Islam programme. His wife has also chosen the subject she is at home with - The Education of Muslim Women.
The Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook, will open the conference, which will be held at the Royal Commonwealth Society from April 28 to 30.
The Conference is part of a six-month programme on Britain and Islamic culture and arts, with various exhibitions and performances across the country.
The Shaykh of al-Azhar will also be attending the conference. Other guests invited to the Conference include MPs, diplomats, businessmen, Muslim and non-Muslim scholars.
