Indian Muslims from Gujarat fled to Bangladesh

New Delhi, May 11, IRNA -- Over 375 Muslims have crossed over to
Bangladesh from the riot-torn western Indian state of Gujarat in the
last couple of days, press said Saturday.
District administration have been preparing a list of the Indian
Muslims who have entered Bangladesh, reported Press Trust of India on
Saturday quoting news agencies in Dhaka.
The sources said over 375 Muslims fled Gujarat and entered into
Bangladesh after crossing the international borders of southwestern
border district of Satkhira.
Necessary steps would be taken to look after the refugees, the
sources added.
In the ongoing Gujarat carnage since last two months, more than
2,000 people have been mercilessly killed and burned with scores
left injured.
There are also several hundred thousand people who have been
rendered homeless and are at present living in relief camps.
