What’s in a name?
By Elham Asaad Buaras
Media outlets around the world found out what
a difference a consonant makes when they made
the biggest typo and broke the news of the
death of “Obama bin Laden”.
After US President Barack Obama made the TV
announcement that al-Qa’ida chief Usama Bin
Ladin was dead, an anchor at Fox made the

Another Fox News affiliate channel carried a
breaking news graphic with the same message:
“Reports: Obama bin Laden dead.”
Sky News, BBC, ABC News, Al Jazeera English
and a CBS Radio had also goofed up.
