BBC’s two faces on Islamophobia

The BBC’s report exposing the Islamophobic nature of the BNP must be welcomed if rather belated, says The Muslim News.

The question must be aske why the Corporation is presenting its ‘Secret Agent’ programme only now and billing it as an ‘undercover documentary.’

“It is particularly ironic that the BBC helped to promote the BNP’s anti-Muslim stance during last month’s election campaign, when it allowed a party political broadcast to be transmitted apparently uncensored about the ‘real danger of Islamic
fundamentalists' and 'growing threat from Muslim extremists' in this country and calling for'deporting of radical Islamists',” editor of The Muslim News Ahmed Versi said.
