Eid-ul-Fitr message from Harriet Harman MP, Acting Leader of the Labour Party

Harriet Harman MP, Acting Leader of the Labour Party said:
"I would like to send my warmest wishes to everyone celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr.
"Muslims will be getting together with family and friends to rejoice at this special time.
"Eid is a festival to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a period of fasting and prayer, and a time to reflect on the strengths we gain from family, community and charity.
"I know Muslims mark Eid by demonstrating their generosity towards people in need across the world and in the UK, and that these good works continue throughout the year. These are sentiments we can all learn from.
