Pakistan: Road accident leaves 3 dead, 4 injured in Karachi
16-03-2013
KARACHI, (The News): A tragic roadside mishap killed at least three people including two women here on early Saturday morning, Geo News reported.
Reportedly, a family on board a speeding sports utility vehicle (SUV) was on way to its destination, which is yet unreported, when a truck rammed into it near Sheh Shah bridge.
The SUV totaled after the collision leaving all the occupants critically injured, sources reported form the accident site.
Sources said the two women travelers and the driver of the SUV succumbed to their traumatic injuries on the spot.
The three deceased adults and the four injured minors were shifted to Civil Hospital. The survivors are reported to critical.
Sources further added that the rescue workers had to use metal cutters to pull the casualties out of the wrecked SUV.
It is surmised that the kind of luggage the SUV was loaded with strongly suggested the unfortunate family was on a long road trip, however 'where were they going to or coming from' was not yet known.
