Palestine: Israeli army kidnaps 11 Palestinians in Bethlehem & Jerusalem

Israeli soldiers invaded the West Bank city of Bethlehem and the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem, broke into dozens of homes and violently searched them before kidnapping eleven Palestinians.

Local sources in Bethlehem reported that the army invaded the Aida refugee camp in the city, and kidnapped six Palestinians.

The soldiers surrounded the camp before invading it, and kidnapped the secretary of the Fateh movement, Mohammad Qassem Al-Azraq, in addition to Firas Mohammad Abu Wasfy, Ahmad Jibreel Al-Khawaja, Saed Khalil Abu ‘Aker, Moath Eid Abu Aker and Yousef Darwish.

Furthermore, the army invaded the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem, and kidnapped five Palestinians, also after breaking into their homes and searching them causing excessive property damage.

The kidnapped Palestinians have been identified as ‘Adli Najeeb, Mohammad At-Tahhan, Tareq Sandouqa, Mustafa At-Tarhouny, and Lu’ay Abbas. All are 18-19 years old.

Nasser Qous, head of the Jerusalem branch of the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) stated that the soldiers broke into several homes carrying a list containing the names of several Palestinians, and kidnapped five.

Israeli soldiers conduct daily invasion into Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, including in occupied East Jerusalem, and carry out daily night raids targeting Palestinian homes and property.
