Danny Williams
31 year-old Danny Williams, who lives in south London, is a rare breed of boxer. After a spectacular victory against Mike Tyson in 2004, beating him in a fourth round knock-out, Danny rose to prominence and could one day be WBO heavyweight champion of the world. As a devout Muslim and family man, Danny hasn't let success and fame alter him. He prays five times a day, leads a modest lifestyle and finds that the self-discipline of Islam helps him in his sporting achievements. Back to awards index |
