| Awards for Excellence Hasan Chawdhury
Hasan Chawdhury has been Head Teacher of Edinburgh Primary School in Waltham Forest, East London, since January 2000. By 2002, the school had developed from being identified as having 'serious weaknesses' to entering the top ten of the most improved primary schools in the UK. Hasan completed a PGCE at the Institute of Education in 1990, having qualified as an accountant three years previously. He recently carried out research with the National College for School Leadership regarding issues of teaching in London and has been featured in the Times Educational Supplement. |
