| Awards for Excellence Nighat Awan
Manchester-born Nighat Awan took charge of her own garment factory at the age of 18, and through successful businesses in clothing and floristry now heads the international Shere Khan empire of restaurants and curry products. She won the Outstanding Contribution award at the 2004 Manchester Food and Drink Awards and received an OBE for her commitment to corporate social responsibility and fundraising for Cancer BACUP. |
